There is something truly special about a community centre that stands the test of time. At the Thurgoona Community Centre (TCC), we often say that while our programs provide the structure, it is the families who provide the heart.
Recently, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Joel Steele back to the centre. Watching Joel join our Little Kidlets Playgroup with his gorgeous Adalee was a amazing full-circle moment. Back in 2015, TCC was deeply invested in developing its youth initiatives. That year, we had the privilege of mentoring five TAFE students on their work placement in youth programming. These students were tasked with a challenge: design and execute a holiday program that would truly resonate with local kids.
