Mikaeli Weddall (Ferguson) grew up in Orange before relocating to Albury in 2004 to complete a bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University. After moving away to Bairnsdale for two years, Mikaeli returned with her husband to Albury, a place which felt like home during her studies, settling in Thurgoona Park. Following a serious hip injury in 2009, which required surgery, Mikaeli discovered the benefits of Pilates as an adjunct to her Physiotherapy rehabilitation. Her interest was further developed when she was asked to assist instructing a class whilst working in a local private practice.
Mikaeli is qualified in three levels of matwork Pilates through the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute. After leaving public practice to return to the public sector, Mikaeli took the opportunity to start her own small business, Border Pilates, in 2011.
Border Pilates specialises in group classes for a wide variety of clients, both men and women, promoting the development of strength, balance and flexibility.
Mikaeli conducts classes at the Thurgoona Community Centre on Monday and Thursday nights (6:15pm-7pm).
No prior experience is required and with a cost of only $6 per class ($5 for students and concession card holders) why not give it a try?
